Safe Practices for Water UtilitiesThe Safe Practices for Water Utilities course provides industry professionals working in drinking water treatment plants with important safety information specific to distribution systems, proper handling of gaseous chlorine and other treatment chemicals, the safe access of elevated tanks, general safety awareness, personal protective equipment, and other operations necessary to produce quality drinking water. Information provided during course covers case studies, video presentations, and practical exercises addressing nine important safety areas. An emphasis is placed on the importance of students applying the knowledge they receive to individual utility work sites.
