Course Description

This program is intended to focus on the strategies to help students exercise leadership within their organization, regardless of whether their role is as a senior firefighter, company level officer or chief officer.  Exdercising leadership is a critical component in helping our nations’ fire service successfully implement many of the programs and initiatives to help reduce firefighter deaths and injuries.

There are no prerequisites for this course.

Course Completion Requirements

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Level O as described in the Texas Student Safety Manual for the sills portionl of the class. 

Attendance Requirements

Class attendance is an essential part of the education process and participants in TEEX courses are expected to attend all class sessions and field exercises. This course requires participants to attend a minimum of 80% of the class hours as a component of successful course completion. During the course, your instructor will review any additional attendance requirements, for example a field exercise that cannot be missed
