Course Description

OperatorThe Aerial Bucket Truck Operators course provides training to participants on all operational requirements and processes specific to proper preventive maintenance checks on aerial bucket trucks and safe operational skills. During training, participants utilize both company-owned and TEEX Bucket Truck vehicles to perform skill testing, job-related simulations, and scenario-driven aerial lift rescue operations.

There are no prerequisites for this course.

Course Completion Requirements

Texas Department of Public Safety Licensing Requirements

Participants must be qualified to operate vehicles of the size and class that carry digger derricks and aerial lift devices.

Participant Must Provide

  • Hard hat
  • Safety glasses
  • Climbing boots
  • Work gloves
  • Long-sleeved shirt
  • A photo identification on the first day of class. See the Participant Handbook for approved forms of identification and additional guidelines.

Attendance Requirements

Class attendance is an essential part of the education process and participants in TEEX courses are expected to attend all class sessions and field exercises. This course requires participants to attend a minimum of 80% of the class hours as a component of successful course completion. During the course, your instructor will review any additional attendance requirements, for example a field exercise that cannot be missed

This course is designed for personnel who operate bucket trucks, individuals who certify bucket truck operators, and mechanics who maintain and repair this equipment.
