Course Description

This course will provide you with an awareness level understanding of how to identify hybrid and electric vehicles, safety concerns and differences associated with different manufacturers, and provide you guides and resources to determine safe interventions to incidents involving hybrid and electric vehicles.  The following 4 modules will provide examples, scenarios, resources, and knowledge checks to allow the user to practice the theories being taught.  Upon course completion, a final exam will be scenario-based and will assess your ability to identify the appropriate vehicle, identify hazard locations, and choose appropriate tactics to mitigate the hazards in a safe and proficient manner.  Completion of this course will provide you with a certificate for 2.5 continuing education hours (0.25 CEU hours).  JPR’s:  1001: 4.3.3, 4.3.5, 4.3.7, 5.4.1
