TEEX ESTI is the recognized State Fire Training agency for the State of Texas.  We conduct over 150 National Fire Academy (NFA) Field and Direct Delivery (NFA two or three day) programs each year to departments across Texas.  Texas fire service personnel are encouraged to take advantage of the various NFA programs offered across Texas, in Region VI, and at the NFA campus in Emmitsburg, MD.

NFA Field & Direct Delivery Programs

Course deliveries are coordinated through the ESTI Extension program and are taught in various locations throughout the year.

  • Curriculum and course length may be adjusted to meet client needs for many of the courses.
  • The Extension program delivers over 200,000 hours of training annually.
  • Courses are conducted at no charge to fire departments or individual students with appropriations from the state of Texas. (Fees may be charged to cover course materials and operational expenses).
  • Unless otherwise stated, anyone interested in a particular course may attend.

NFA Regional Delivery Programs – TRADE Region VI

The NFA’s Training Resources & Data Exchange (TRADE) network coordinates and implements 6- & 10- day off campus courses. TRADE members consist of State- & Metro- level training administrators who determine the training needs of fire service personnel in their regions.

This program gives you the opportunity to attend NFA resident courses within your geographical region. Regional Delivery courses mirror one and two week courses normally taught at NFA’s resident facility in Emmitsburg, MD.
