Crude By Rail Emergency Response Training

IND004 - 24.00 Hours

Description

Crude by Rail Emergency Response is a hands-on course designed to provide emergency responders with the skills and knowledge required to mitigate a flammable liquid fire involving railcars.  This course covers the increase of nationwide crude oil production, industry regulations concerning crude oil transportation, and the possible behaviors of a burning crude oil tank car involved in a train derailment.  The course also covers the characteristics of crude oil and examines the various types of flammable liquid fire fighting equipment used in the event of a fire.  Participants will learn how to recognize hazards and consider tactical responses on full-scale props where they will apply their skills and knowledge in a controlled but realistic crude oil fire involving railcars.

This course can be scheduled to meet your specific needs. For more information about this course or to schedule a class for your organization, please contact Emergency Services Training Institute at (866) 878-8900 or esti@teex.tamu.edu.
