Description

This course provides you with practical training under real fire conditions with your emergency response leaders providing the instructions. The curriculum is custom-designed to meet a client's specific training needs.
 
Clients may choose from the following areas of interest:
  •      basic,
  •      intermediate,
  •      advanced classroom and/or field evolutions.
 
Based on the customer’s needs, this course can be 8 to 40 hours in length.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for this course.

Course Completion Requirements

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

All bunker gear should include

  • coat
  • pants
  • hood
  • gloves
  • helmet
  • boots

All bunker gear used during live firefighting evaluations must be National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1971 compliant. Any bunker gear found to be unsafe or not NFPA compliant will not be allowed on the field.

You are responsible for ensuring that your gear is inspected for any unsafe conditions and that all NFPA tags are readable.

Recommended

Due to the nature of the training, a physical examination is recommended prior to enrolling in this course.

Course hours

  • Begin at 8 a.m. on the first day of class unless other arrangements have been made.

Location

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

  • PPE Level 4 as described in the TEEX Student Safety Manual.
  • Bunker gear should include
