The Introduction to Equipment Load and Tie Down course provides operators with an introduction to specific load and tie down techniques for several load types being transported by a trailer. During classroom training, participants are provided examples of correct loading and securing of equipment for towing, preventive maintenance, safe work practices, load calculations, tie-down techniques, and different types of tie down devices.
Texas DPS Certification/Licensing Requirement
The participant must present a Class A CDL. This prerequisite may be accomplished by uploading a copy of the document after registration using the TEEX Student Portal at least 14 days prior to the start of class. Once received and approved by Customer Care, the participant will be notified by email they have met all prerequisites and have been added to the class roster.
Course Completion Requirements
Student must provide:
- Hard hat
- Steel-toed footwear
- Visibility safety vest
