This course is designed to meet or exceed Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 1910.120 (q)(8)(i) annual refresher training requirements. This course involves both classroom and field activities.
There are no prerequisites for this course.
Course Completion Requirements
Personal Protective Equipment
This course requires Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Level 2 as described in the TEEX Student Safety Manual. All students are required to follow this manual at all times.
You must wear regular work attire, including safety shoes, for training activities and classroom sessions. You may not wear shorts, sleeveless shirts, or open-toed shoes to any class or field activity.
Due to the strenuous nature of class activities, participants should secure a professional evaluation of their physical condition prior to enrolling in this course.
Personnel who are trained in accordance with CFR 1910.120 (q)(6) and are required to receive training annually to maintain their competencies.
Personnel trained to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 472 Standard for Competence of Responders to Hazardous Materials/Weapons of Mass Destruction Incidents at the Operations-, Technician-, or Incident Command-level.
Continuing Education and Professional CreditsTexas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE)
