The Strategy & Tactics Unique to Firefighting course is designed for the first arriving officers at the scene of a fire or other emergency incident.  The course intent is to develop a STREET SMART FIRE OFFICER. Whether a newly appointed volunteer officer or the career firefighter seeking to become a company officer, this course can help the student become a more confident officer.  Students will receive a certificate that can be applied to SFFMA Master Level or utilized as Continuing Ed for TCFP Firefighting Certification.

There are no prerequisites for this course.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Attire

  • Wear regular station duty wear for fire field activities
  • Wear office attire for classroom sessions
  • You may not wear to any class or field activity
    • shorts
    • sleeveless shirts

Sunday: 2 p.m. - 6 p.m.
Monday - Thursday: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Friday: 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Annual Fire Training School Registration Requirements

Annual Schools require that you use the online registration system. If you are using a Purchase Order (including H.B. 2604 voucher) please place the number in the PO field for payment. Please know we must have a copy of the PO or voucher within 48 hours of your registration or you will be canceled out of the class.

Annual Fire Training School Late Registration

The full rate will be applied after the early-bird registration deadline.
