Wind Energy Endorsement
This TEEX Certified Safety & Health Official TM (CSHO) endorsement is designed for personnel who perform safety and health work on a daily basis in wind generation environments or have safety responsibilities over others at those locations, including inspections and audits.
NOTE: A minimum of 50 percent of the courses MUST be taken through TEEX.
Prerequisite
Completion of either the Construction Industry CSHO Track OR the General Industry CSHO Track.
Required Core Courses
- EPP013 - Electrical Worker - Safe Work Practices (16 hours)
- OSH711 - Lockout/Tagout (OSHA 7115) - (7 Hours)
- OSH226 - Permit-Required Confined Space Entry* (OSHA 2264) - (31 hours)
- OSH784 - Injury & Illness Recordkeeping* (OSHA 7845) - (4.25 hours)
- OSH301 - Excavation, Trenching and Soil Mechanics** (OSHA 3010) - (23 hours)
- OSH309 - Electrical Standards** (OSHA 3095) - (31 hours)
- OSH311 - Fall Arrest Systems** (OSHA 3110) - (23 hours)
TOTAL COURSE HOURS: 135.25
Completion Requirement
A Letter of Certification for Tower Climbing & Verification of Emergency Rescue experience (from either an employer or authorized training institution) is required and must be sent to TEEX to complete the TEEX Wind Generation CSHO. The letter will be reviewed and approved by the TEEX Safety and Health and Utilities Training Program Director.
