Landscape Irrigator Exams

TEEX administers the Landscape Irrigator, Landscape Irrigation Technician, and Landscape Irrigation Inspector examinations on behalf of the Texas Commission of Environmental Quality (TCEQ).

General Exam Information:

The Landscape Irrigator exam is an 8-hour exam conducted from from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.

The Irrigation Technician and Irrigation Inspector license exams are 3-hour exams conducted from 8 – 11 p.m.

On the day of the exam, you will be required to bring the following for all exams:

• Your confirmation letter from TEEX stating that you are qualified to sit for either the Landscape Irrigator, Irrigation Technician or Irrigation Inspector exam
• Proof of Identification (a valid US Driver's license, valid military ID or valid Passport)

The following equipment is required for the exam:

Landscape Irrigators:

• Engineering Scale
• Non-programable calculator
• Two (2) - number 2 pencils

Irrigation Inspectors:

• Non-programable calculator
• Two (2) - number 2 pencils

Irrigation Technicians:

• Two (2) - number 2 pencils

Cellular phones, pagers, computers, etc., are not permitted in the examination room.
