Texas Small Public Water System Training Program

Water & Wastewater Home > Texas Small Public Water System Training Program

Did you know that TEEX Water and Wastewater training participates in the Texas Small Public Water System Training Program?

The Texas Small Public Water System Training Program provides “no-cost” training and also pays for licensing fees of operators working for small public water systems. Operators of small community or nontransient noncommunity public water system serving 3,300 persons or fewer are eligible for this program.

The program is administered by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) for the purpose of covering the training cost and licensing fees of small water system operators. TCEQ and EPA have authorized the Texas Small Public Water System Training Program to offer this training.

Through the Texas Small Public Water System Training Program, TEEX offers “no-cost” classroom training needed to obtain a new water license or for renewal of water licenses. Additionally, through this program, TEEX offers on-site cluster training for small public water systems and their operators.

Participation in this program will assist in providing small public water system operators with the necessary training needed to obtain or renew necessary licenses and aid water systems in complying with public drinking water regulations.

More information regarding this program is available online at www.txsmallwater.org.
